My wife and I just upgraded our smart rings to the Oura Ring 4. After both of our Fitbits broke in 2021, we switched to Oura in 2022. Oura was getting rave reviews about their sleep tracking accuracy and I was super interested in this form factor. I did a whole writeup about my Love-Hate relationship with the ŌURA Experience and later added another post here about measuring VO2max with an Oura Ring.
So when Oura announced the next generation of this health tracking device last Fall, I knew we’d be upgrading shortly thereafter. My wife was first to get one in November and I held off until the new year. I’m excited to experience the improvements that were made on an already-impressive hardware design. Its sleeker design is noticeably more comfortable and I’m hopeful about what changes were made to improve activity sensing. Now if they would just address some of those Oura App annoyances.
