I just put down a deposit and paid the permit fees to climb Aconcagua in 2025! At 22,841 feet (6962 meters), this is the highest peak in Argentina and across the Americas.
We will be guided by @inka_expediciones from Mendoza, Argentina. Everything I have read and seen about their operation so far has been highly impressive. I can already tell that they are the premier provider for Aconcagua Expeditions!

Fall foliage is stunning right now in the Wasatch... such vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow and green, accented by pink, burgundy, gold and lime. It`s like a symphony of colors! (no filters needed)
Let`s play "Name That Peak!" Anyone recognize this one? Here`s a hint: There are multiple ways to get here. The route I chose is almost 8 miles and just shy of 5,600 feet of elevation from the start.
Shingle Mill Peak, Freedom Peak, East Provo and Provo Peaks from the Cascade saddle. I still need to get East Provo for my Wasatch 11ers project and Cascade Mountain to finish the Wasatch7.
Chipping away at my list of remaining peaks to complete the Wasatch 11ers, I finally got that Bast*rd Son of the American Fork Twins (aka The Third Nipple, aka The Peak East of East AF Twin). I didn`t realize this bump was something worth getting when I initially did the AF Twins with Geek Peak and Red Top back in 2018. It has loomed over my head ever since... but now IT`S DONE, with only 8 of these 35 left to do.
Did Nebo with my brother-in-law. It was his first time, but my fourth. Of course we hit North Nebo first! ...and then looked for an alternate way down to the Bench Trail on the way back. I think I see a possibility without having to do the whole traverse. I`d like to give it a try when we have more time.
